GYSBI remains committed to promoting training and continuous on-the-job learning. Recently, we facilitated the 5-day NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety for several staff members. Delivered by Shadrack Safety Institute Company Ltd, a NEBOSH-accredited learning partner, the course took place at our Shorebase in Georgetown. It focused on operational process safety, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply and implement robust process safety management practices across all areas of GYSBI’s operations.

The key topics covered by the qualification are:

-Hazards inherent in the extraction, storage and processing of raw materials and products

-Hydrocarbon process safety

-Risk management techniques used in the oil and gas industries

-Contractor management

-Fire and explosion controls in the oil and gas industries

-Marine and Land Logistics

Six (6) of our QHSSE Professionals benefitted from the content and sat the 2-hour examinations.
